DECLARACIÓN DE SALVADOR DE BAHÍA
En la ciudad de Salvador de Bahía, a los 18 días del mes de julio del año 2007, en ocasión de celebrarse los congresos IV Brasileño de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas en Salud, XIV de IAHP y X de ALAMES.
La ALAMES se propone desarrollar sus acciones sobre la base de un compromiso social y político dirigido a:

Immediate Cessation of Israeli Offensive in Palestine and Lebanon and for UN Intervention

Coming from 82 countries around the world, 1492 people met at the Second People’s Health Assembly in Cuenca, Ecuador from 17th to 22nd July 2005, to analyse global health problems and to develop strategies to promote Health for all.

Overwhelmingly we reaffirmed the continuing importance of the People’s Charter for Health (2000) and saw it as a rallying document for the ongoing struggles of the People’s Health Movement globally and within countries.

Los participantes en los seminarios por el derecho a la salud en el FSE de Londres proponen a la Asamblea de Movimientos Sociales asumir como un objetivo prioritario las movilizaciones contra las privatizaciones de los Sistemas Sanitarios y la defensa del derecho a la salud de las poblaciones de Europa. La negación de este derecho esta llevando a hombres y mujeres a una situación dramática.

The participants of the health seminars at the ESF in London propose that the Assembly of Social Movements embrace, as a priority, a campaign for the right to health and against privatisation of health services in Europe. The denial of the right to health, which is an outcome of neoliberal policies, has dramatic consequences for people in Europe.

La IAHP desea expresar públicamente su felicitación al pueblo venezolano y quiere compartir este importante momento de los resultados del referéndum revocatorio del pasado 15 de Agosto, que confirma a su Presidente Hugo Chávez Frías en la Presidencia de la República.
